EXHIBITION: Grahame Sydney’s exhibition ‘Down South – Recent Paintings’ is on at Porirua’s Pataka Museum of Arts and Cultures until 06th February 2012. The exhibition presents 27 major landscape paintings from 2001 to 2011. A catalogue accompanies the exhibition.

ABOUT: Grahame Sydney is one of New Zealand’s senior artists, best known for his landscapes of Central Otago. His work spans over four decades and encompasses oils, watercolours, egg tempera, lithographs, etching, photography and, more recently, film.
Rarely exhibiting, Sydney’s works are held in the collections of the major galleries and museums of New Zealand, and in private collections through-out the world.
Grahame is also the author several books, and his work is the subject of the award-winning The Art of Grahame Sydney. In 2003 he was awarded an ONZM for his services to painting.
